Vortrag von Judith Klumperman
Vortragstitel: "HOPS and CORVET tethering complexes in endolysosomal system of human cells"
Anlass: SFB - Seminar
Beginn: 12.12.2024 - 16:15 Uhr
Ort: CellNanOs, 38/201
Über die Vortragende: Prof. Dr. Judith Klumperman forscht am Utrecht Medical Center in Utrecht.
The endolysosomal system of any eukaryotic cell is critical for nutrient uptake, growth and survival. Any defects in involved proteins results in devastating diseases and neurological defects in humans such as Parkinson’s disease. The Klumperman lab uses a combination of live-cell imaging and ultrastructural analysis to dissect different tethering complexes like CORVET, HOPS and CHEVI, analyzes lysosomal subpopulations, or autophagy. Within the presentation, novel insights into the localization of Rabs and tethers and their function will be presented using - among others - innovative correlative microscopy techniques.
